We both have a university degree for teaching Polish as a foreign language, which we obtained at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (Kasia) and Jagiellonian University in Cracow (Sandra).

For the last 8 years we’ve been teaching Polish to foreigners in Poland, in Belgium and in the UK.

Kasia has been teaching Polish to university students of Slavonic studies at Ghent University, and at KU Leuven in Belgium. She has also been teaching Polish to private customers and to bilingual (Polish-Flemish) children in a Polish Saturday school in Ghent (EduGandawa). Currently, Kasia’s teaching Polish to university students of Slavonic studies at KU Leuven, Campus Leuven, as well as to students of applied linguistics at KU Leuven, Campus Brussels.

Sandra has been teaching Polish to university students at Jagiellonian University, Cracow, Poland, as well as to students of Slavonic studies at KU Leuven, Belgium. She has also been working in a range of settings: from teaching private customers, working in language schools, to providing in-company language trainings in Wrocław, Poland. Currently she’s teaching Polish at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies at University College London (UCL), United Kingdom and she’s pursuing a PhD in teaching Polish as a foreign language at KU Leuven, Belgium.

We focus on communication and will guide you step by step through the process of becoming confident in expressing yourself in Polish. We always put the emphasis on everyday situations, authentic materials and communicative context, through which you can discover how language is used by native speakers. And not only that: we also teach you all the helpful strategies to decode what you read or hear in Polish. As a bonus, we will give you all the tools for turning the beast (aka Polish grammar) into your loyal pet.

That’s right, you didn’t misread that one! 🙂 We try to maximize your exposure to Polish from day one. We believe (and our students confirm!) that this is the best way to achieve great results. Don’t worry if you have never had anything to do with Polish so far – we work with complete beginners on a daily basis. We always adapt to your needs, and will help build your confidence step by step, adding one puzzle piece to the other.

We mainly work with materials that we develop on our own. This way we can easily tailor make our course content to your language learning needs and focus our attention on those aspects that you find essential to achieve your goals. We always discuss your plans and expectations with you to ensure that we are on the same page at all times.

We strongly believe that every language teacher should follow language classes from time to time to never forget what it all looks and feels like from a learner’s perspective. Also, we can’t help it, we just love languages! Kasia is currently learning Spanish, and Sandra is learning German.
